Membership

The All India Geomembrane Manufacturers Association (AIGMA) is an industry body representing geomembrane manufacturers across India. Membership in the Association is governed by the following policy.

1. Eligibility

  • Membership is open exclusively to organizations engaged in the manufacturing of geomembranes.
  • Companies or individuals involved in trading, distribution, installation, or consultancy services are not eligible for membership.
  • Applicants must hold valid business licenses and comply with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing.

2. Application Process

  • Prospective members must submit a completed membership application form along with required documents, such as incorporation certificates (if applicable).
  • Applications will be reviewed by the executive Committee of AIGMA.
  • Membership is subject to approval by the Governing Body of the Association.

3. Rights of Members

  • Participate in association meetings, programs, and advocacy initiatives.
  • Vote on matters placed before the general body of members.
  • Access industry updates, technical resources, and regulatory guidance shared by the Association.
  • Be eligible to contest for positions within the Association’s executive committee, subject to rules.

4. Obligations of Members

  • Adhere to the Code of Conduct and policies established by AIGMA.
  • Maintain compliance with quality standards (such as BIS norms) in geomembrane manufacturing.
  • Pay membership fees and contributions as decided by the Association from time to time.
  • Support the Association’s mission of promoting quality, sustainability, and fair practices in the geomembrane industry.

5. Termination of Membership

  • Membership may be terminated if a member ceases to be a manufacturer of geomembranes.
  • Failure to comply with statutory regulations, industry standards, or Association policies may result in suspension or expulsion.
  • Voluntary withdrawal must be submitted in writing to the Association’s Secretariat.

6. Governance

The Association reserves the right to amend this Membership Policy from time to time with approval of its Governing Body. All members will be notified of changes.
